Immediately after my return from KL, the following morning, on 16 April 2009, My wife & I send Aunty Ursula Lau to Sibu Diocesan Pastoral Centre for her to inform Bishop Dominic Su that after the Healing & Deliverance Mass (together with the administering of the Sacrament of Anointing of the sick) on 25 March 2009, Uncle John Chiew had a followed up scanning of his cancerous spot. The latest scan conducted showed that the cancerous spot had disappeared.

After the Healing Mass, according to Aunty Ursula Lau, Uncle Chiew has been consistently attending Mass on Saturday evening mass and continue to receive Holy communion. Let's pray that God will use him mightly as a living witness for our Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, Love Heals. Jesus Christ Heals.

The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch

I wonder what would I say in my last Lecture!

The Last Lecture goes beyond the now-famous lecture to inspire us all to live each day of our lives with purpose and joy.“We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand.”—Randy Pausch.

A lot of professors give talks titled “The Last Lecture.” Professors are asked to consider their demise and to ruminate on what matters most to them. And while they speak, audiences can’t help but mull the same question: What wisdom would we impart to the world if we knew it was our last chance? If we had to vanish tomorrow, what would we want as our legacy?

When Randy Pausch, a computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon, was asked to give such a lecture, he didn’t have to imagine it as his last, since he had recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

But the lecture he gave—“Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams”—wasn’t about dying. It was about the importance of overcoming obstacles, of enabling the dreams of others, of seizing every moment (because “time is all you have...and you may find one day that you have less than you think”). It was a summation of everything Randy had come to believe. It was about living.

In this book, Randy Pausch has combined the humor, inspiration and intelligence that made his lecture such a phenomenon and given it an indelible form. It is a book that will be shared for generations to come.

This is one good book. It teaches me how I should live well & die well.

Maybe it was a grandparent, or a teacher, or a colleague. Someone older, patient and wise, who understood you when you were young and searching, helped you see the world as a more profound place, gave you sound advice to help you make your way through it.

Today, the Neo Catechumenate Community in sibu, Sarawak will pray & fast for the following intentions:

1) We now dedicate the first decade for True Conversion of Neo Catechumenate community in Sibu, Sarawak, in accordance with the Plan of God. Let us pray for all of us in the community that we may learn to turn all the circumstances and events of our life into occasions of loving God and serving the church, the pope and all souls with joy and simplicity, lighting up the pathways of this earth with faith and love.

2) We now dedicate the second decade for the Return and Reconciliation of all the members of Neo Catechumenate community in sibu, Sarawak, in accordance with God’s plan. Let us focus especially on the lapsed members who have become lukewarm and let the Light of God shine upon them.

3) We now dedicate the third decade for the Evangelisation works of Neo Catechumenate community in Sibu, Sarawak. Let us pray for all of us in the community that we may not lose interest, direction and quiet time with the Lord, but rather be fully committed to the purpose of the Lord in our everyday life & proclamation of the Good News.

4) We now dedicate the fourth decade for a Priest to guide the spiritual growth of the Neo Catechumenate community in sibu, Sarawak. Let the light of God be with this priest and the people who are instrumental in bringing this priest here to our community.

5) We now dedicate the fifth decade for the Poor Souls in Purgatory.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.

Do not be like the ‘Jews’ & Israelites - headstrong, obstinate, disobedient, rebellious, proud, wicked.....

Do not be like the Pharisees - say & believe in one thing but do another thing, hide behind the law, boast about the Law and disobey it...

Do not be a Hypocrite.....if you do, you bring God into contempt.
